The safety of our students and our staff is our first priority as we continue to closely monitor the new Coronavirus, COVID-19. We are following the guidance of our local, state, national, and global health officials as we implement a contingency plan and discuss our next course of action.
While no decision has been made, we are considering the possibility of going to virtual instruction in the event of a lengthy school closure. Information that includes students’ passwords for gmail and online Math and English Language Arts curriculum is being sent home. Information on utilizing a Google Classroom Format and Zoom Video Sessions will be available on the website within the next few days. You may have received a message from your school asking if you have Internet Access at home and a device such as a computer or tablet. Please respond as this will help us get a count on how many hot spots and devices will be needed.
While there are no school campus-associated cases of COVID-19, employees and students are advised to avoid non-essential domestic travel as well as all international travel.
Our District Website has a page that has informative information on it in regards to the COVID-19 Virus. The link is: https://www.bsd29j.com/apps/pages/index.jsp…
If your student is experiencing respiratory symptoms, please keep them home. Students who are sick will receive an excused absence.
We continue to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and will provide updates to the Bennett School District Community as the situation develops further.
